A number of different cultures have been using Epsom salts for a long period of time for its incredible beneficial properties and benefits, from body detox treatments to household cleaning and gardening.
The best thing about them is that they’re cheap and can easily be found.
They originate from a bitter saline spring at Epsom in Surrey, England. The reason why this salt is different than all others is because it is a naturally occurring pure mineral compound of sulphate and magnesium, both of which offer powerful health benefits.
They are easily absorbed through the skin and enter our bloodstream. This is why it makes an excellent addition to bathwater, as these salts stimulate a process known as “reverse osmosis” which eliminates the salt along with the dangerous toxins from the body, and making space for the sulphate and magnesium to enter the bloodstream.
Magnesium is a highly essential mineral as it contains more than 325 enzymes, enhances the function of muscles and nerves, boosts blood flow, soothes inflammation and boosts oxygenation throughout the whole body.
Sulphates are also important for healthy nervous tissues, joints, and healthy skin. The mixture of these two minerals eliminates toxins from the body and aids build key protein molecules in the joints and brain tissues.
Using Epsom salts in baths on regular basis can help in the case of athlete’s foot, muscle pain, gout, bruises, sprains, pain and diseases, detoxify the body, alleviate inflammation and regulate the mineral and sulphur balance in the body.
It is highly important that individuals with open wounds or burns, dehydrated individuals as well as pregnant women should consult a doctor before using these Epsom detox bath.
The proper way to do an Epsom bath is to fill the tub with hot water and add as much Epsom salt according to your age. The body will need 20 minutes to eliminate the toxins and 20 more to absorb the minerals.
