Hyssop – Sacred Herb

Agastache-foeniculum       Medical plant works on toning exhausted and weak body. The herb hyssop, called “sacred herb” by the time of Hippocrates, is mentioned in the Bible. Aromatic plant with delicate blue flowers thrive in dry areas and highlands. Hyssop (lat. Hyssopus officinalis) is universal tonic for people with cardiovascular diseases.

      Prepare a brew: 1 teaspoon dried herb pour with 250 ml boiling water. Once cool,  drink 1/2 cup 3 times daily. Used to gargle when you have enlarged tonsils , sore throat and gingivitis.

      The essential oil is a component of  parfumes. It smells like a mixture of basil, geranium and thyme. In respiratory diseases, the essence is removed through the lungs beacause he act as an expectorant. Ideal relieves cough at bronchitis and catarrhal inflammation of the upper respiratory tract.

      The aroma stimulates the appetite, respectively digestion.

      The essential oil of hyssop removes anxiety and fatigue. Yetro Klos called hyssop “great tonic when the body is weak”. He is a good tonic for people after severe illness because it creates a feeling of alertness and clarity.

      The essential oil of hyssop can be used for massage. It is also used as a seasoning for meat and sauces. Added for flavor in the Swiss absinthe.
