Back pain can be caused by many factors such as stenosis of the spine, strained muscles, hernia disc, degenerated vertebrae as well as injuries.
PAIN IN THE BACK
As much as 85% of the reported back pain cases haven’t been identified with a specific cause, and even modern medicine can’t help pin point the exact reason sometimes.
Back pain can last for up to a month and goes away as randomly as it appears. However if the pain is chronic it can last for a longer period of time and it requires remedies and tests.

Our waist muscles get weaker the more we sit, so it is highly important to get up and move around for at least 10 minutes.
It is also important that you change your mattress every 5 years since old mattresses are one of the main reasons of back pain.
Avoid sleeping on your stomach since it will cause pain in the abdominal area.
It is very unlikely to experience back or neck pain if you walk, run or hike regularly. It doesn’t have to be anything serious, 30 minutes a day is enough.
Avoid carrying and picking up heavy objects or bags. If you must, crouch first and slowly lift you’re your thigh muscles, and not your back.
No matter what activity you’re performing, always remember to bend the knees.
BE CAREFUL – BACK PAIN LEADS TO NECK PAIN
Our shoulders play a crucial role for most of our body movements. It is important that you pay special attention and care to them since they’re flexible and large, which makes them more prone to damage. Shoulder soreness can be caused by:

- Stiff shoulder
- Bone fracture on hand
- Dislocation injury
WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF SPREADING PAIN TO THE NECK?
Unlike back pain, regular neck pain lasts for 12 weeks, and if it is chronic – more than 12 weeks. Back pain is usually caused by stretched neck structures (muscle, tendon, and ligament) or damaged from injury.
Other causes can be over-stretching or cramps as well as stress, bad walking and sitting posture, lack of physical activity and bad sleeping position.
HOW TO REDUCE THIS PAIN AT HOME
This type of pain can be treated with hot and cold compresses on the aching areas. Use these compresses every 2-3 hours and it will relieve the pain for a short time.
You can find a number of exercises that can relax the back and reduce the pain. Exercising every day and moving the neck muscles as much as possible will surely help you to avoid a stiff neck and remove the risk of chronic pain.
Massages help too. This greatly relaxes the muscles.
Change your mattress, pillow or sleeping poses. Switch to feather pillows because they’re better and softer for the heat. If you already have a feather pillow – try memory foam. The memory foam adapts to your neck and head. However keep in mind that every type of pillow needs to be changed after some time. Change sleep poses or the pillow. Use feather pillows since they are softer and better for the neck and head. Also try a horseshoe pillow whenever you’re travelling. It will provide your neck and head with stability and comfort.
And the last most important tip – eliminate stress! Stress is the main reason for many health issues. Try removing stress by doing relaxing exercises such as meditation, yoga or activities you enjoy.
