Studies have shown that the sounds of the travel aircraft, that frequently cross over 85 decibels, decrease the feeling of sweet and increase the sensitivity of the so called “fifth taste” which many describe as complete, full, meaty flavor. They noticed that the sound of the airplane or the noise which creates while flying can affect the taste of the food being served. This finding may help in adjusting the food.
German airline noted that tomato juice is equally popular as beer among the passengers. Tomato juice contains amino acid glutamate, which affects the “fifth taste” and gives a more pleasant taste i.e. highlights the flavor of tomato juice and this is why tomato juice became very popular among travelers.
